LOCAL MANUFACTURER SENDS AWARD-WINNING DISASTER-RELIEF HOUSING UNIT TO HAITI

WHAT:SANCTA, innovative Las Vegas manufacturer of rapidly deployable, high quality modular homes, ships its award-winning prototype, the SANCTA Haiti House, to Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

SANCTA was recently named one of only 50 finalists (from a pool of 500-plus companies) in the Building Back Better Communities Housing Expo in Port-au-Prince, a competition sponsored by the government of Haiti and the Clinton Foundation to support the global relief effort underway there.

SANCTA’s basic housing units are made of lightweight, earthquake-resistive, steel-clad insulated panels that can be assembled by two installers in as little as six hours.

Units range from approximately 160 to 640 square feet and include basic sleeping quarters and bathroom facilities.
